We’re glad you found us!
Founded in 1991 ROSMY is here for all youth between the ages of 14-20 who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or are questioning their sexual orientation (which we abbreviate sometimes as “GLBTQ”).
The only source of support, education, advocacy and opportunities to promote adolescents healthy sexual and gender identity development, ROSMY prides itself on providing the right resources at the right time. Our youth driven programs are dedicated to helping youth be themselves by empowering them to guide the important discussions and develop the events and activities that best meet their needs in a safe and supportive way.
We offers the following programs and services:
Youth Support Groups: GLBTQ youth participate in structured support groups. Groups for ages 14-20 are held on Tuesday nights starting at 6:30pm and ending at 8:30pm. If you are new to ROSMY, please try to arrive a bit early to be introduced to the world of ROSMY and to fill out a confidential form.
Youth Engaged in Leadership (YEL): A group of youth leaders, YEL will soon be making lots of big decisions about ROSMY! This program provides training in public speaking, board service, orienting new youth, outreach, leading workshops, and more. They are also in charge of planning our Alternative Prom and social events (see below).
