Volunteer Opportunities Abound!

Join our Speakers Bureau and tell your story! The most effective way to change hearts and minds is by telling our own personal stories as a gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or allied individual. You can help us increase acceptance across Virginia.

Become a Co-Facilitator. Join a diverse group of skilled individuals and assist ROSMY’s Institute for Equality’s Coordinator in presenting trainings across Virginia.

Technology Support (as-need computer and technology assistance)

Special Events (helping plan and staff special events)

Become a trained ROSMY facilitator!

Work directly with GLBTQ youth ages 14-20 in a support group setting. You must be 23 years old or over to become a facilitator. An application and background check are required. Please e-mail Youth Programs Director and Volunteer Manager Grayson Mitchell at youthprograms@rosmy.org to sign-up for training. This is a unique and great experience to work with youth who struggle with sexual orientation and gender identity. We look forward to seeing you there!

Dates are as follows:

*YOU MUST ATTEND BOTH PORTIONS OF THE TRAINING FOR YOUR CERTIFICATION TO DEEM YOU A FACILITATOR

*Dinner will be provided on Friday; you will have 1 hour to get lunch on Saturday.
