On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff of the Richmond Organization for Sexual Minority Youth (ROSMY), I am pleased to announce the hiring of Gregg Johnson to fill our new Director of Marketing and Development position.

Gregg has been a part of the ROSMY family since 2000, when he began serving as a volunteer for the ROSMY Auction.  From there Gregg’s volunteer role continued to expand into a youth support group facilitator while providing on-going support to the Annual Auction and our Dining for the Future events.

In 2004 Gregg came on board as a contract worker to fulfill technical support, event planning and coordination responsibilities for the agency, while expanding his own knowledge and understanding of ROSMY and the importance of our work.  As the longest standing staff member at ROSMY he brings tremendous history and experience to this new role that has already proven to be invaluable in moving the organization forward.

As the Director of Marketing and Development, Gregg will maintain his responsibilities for all levels of public relations including radio and print advertising, marketing, and direct-mail campaigns.  With new support software on-board and an aggressive development plan in place, Gregg will also be managing the development process to include major event planning, individual donor development and gift solicitation as well as grants management.
